About me
Waqas Qadeer is a Recruitment Consultant at Cooper Fitch, specialising in Manufacturing and Supply Chain recruitment across the GCC region. With a solid technical foundation in oil and gas engineering, Waqas is passionate about bridging the gap between exceptional talent and leading organisations across various industries.
Originally from Pakistan, Waqas moved to Malaysia for his studies in 2014 and then relocated to the UAE in 2021. He holds a Bachelor of Petroleum Engineering with Honours from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia, along with a minor in Business Management. Waqas began his career as an onshore field engineer within the oil and gas sector before transitioning into recruitment, where he leverages both his technical expertise and his drive to connect skilled professionals with high-impact roles.
Specialising in technical recruitment across the oil & gas, EPC, manufacturing, marine, and defence sectors, Waqas has successfully partnered with clients on large-scale projects and highly specialised positions. His experience in Malaysia and the UAE equips him with a unique, global perspective on talent markets and regional industry trends.
